Bob Franklyn ~ Halifax Nova Scotia
"I began riding when I was 12, my first bike being a Honda CR80
(looking back, probably a little too much power at the time). I roosted
around in the dirt for the next four years, until I was licensed for the
street (OK, maybe a little before), at which time I bought an XL600 with
my McDonald's money I earned.
After a few more years, I had to put the old girl down, and went
bikeless for about four years before purchasing my current ride about 3
years ago, a V45 Magna, for $800 bones. I've put at least that much
more into her, and she atill has a way to go, but she's a great
Brute(tm). A V65 is soon to come, but I'll never give up my baby." Bike:

Bought my first bike in 1989 - a '79 CX500. It was a great little bike
but a bit shy on top end. The V65 Magna is my second bike purchased in
1996. Love the Magna!! I never get tired of the giddee up! Too bad the
season is so short. Bikes:

Logan ~ Vancouver Isle
Name's Logan, I live on Vancouver Isle (W coast of Canada). Originally from St Paul, Minn, did my 5.5 yrs in the USAF, and then discovered this island paradise in '72.
First couple'a bikes (of my very own) were Honda trail bikes, which kinda "gave me the feel" of biking and crashing without hurting too much. First street bike was a 250 Rebel which I bought from a bankrupt dealer for $1000 (on the Visa) and rode it for a season, sold it for $1250 that fall. Next was a 650 Yammerer which was more fun on the hiway but not quite good enough (in more ways than I realized). Then stumbled onto a V-45 (a classic stored/ignored for several years bike) and bought it because it was so cheap/beautiful. After reviving & enjoying that for a few years, a fellow (in Wyoming I think) let me take his V-65 for a burn, and by 2nd gear, I knew "I gotta have me one of these!!" Finally found a good one, & now she's my girl!!
If you ever see a ferry that goes to Vancouver Island, c'mon over!!
This pic is just after aquiring the '85 V-65 in '01 and since then she's enjoyed many mods/additions, etc, including but not limited to: Fork brace from Greg in Chicago, OilMod from Art in Squamish BC, SeatMod by a local upholsterer, permanent tailBag, various new parts & pieces, electrical & lighting mods, etc.
